OFFICE PROFILE

Jan Kuba Architecture & Interior was founded in 2016 by Jan Kubasiewicz in Zurich, Switzerland. The office stands for durable, innovative and individual design solutions, with a strong lean towards a total concept. 

Jan was born in Belgium where he studied architecture at the St-Lucas institute of Architecture and applied arts in Brussels. During his studies at the Polytechnic University of Milan, he specialised in interior design, restauration and urbanism. Throughout his professional career, Jan gathered diverse experiences in countries such as Switzerland, Belgium, Italy and the United Arab Emirates. He gained a wide experience and building knowhow, which paved his way to the architectural vision he obtains and applies today.  

Sheida Vahedi graduated as an Architect at the Institut d’Architecture Victor Horta in Brussels. She equally did an exchange year in Milan, expanding her knowledge in Architecture, as well as Interior and Industrial design. Her curiosity and enthusiasm led her to live and work several years in London to be followed by Zürich. Sheida has designed and realised various private residences, as well as developing university campuses in Switzerland. Since the foundation of Jan Kuba GmbH, she has been involved in designing several projects such as Penthouse M, Praval and House K. In 2021 she has joined Jan Kuba GmbH as a Partner.

With offices in Zürich and Brussels, Jan Kuba is an international practice setting a course going beyond conventional borders. It provides enhanced abilities and design services in order to give the client an overall and exciting experience with a unique result.

“We believe each person has a tailor-made personality and should live in a personal setting where he or she belongs and therefore owns it. We seek a design that fits the character and wish-list of each individual. These ingredients are blended into a custom-made design, with the purpose of finding that special sense of belonging”.
